80-year-old Anna Filippovna and 63-year-old Alexei Fedorovich, residents of the village of Kuchugury in the Voronezh region (the village about which the director Gerchikov made a real documentary saga), come to Moscow on New Year's Eve, although in recent decades they have not traveled beyond the nearest regional center from their native Kuchugurs.
